Northern Fiji Heritage Cruise - Day 7

Captain Reef Endeavour - Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Our last full day of the cruise is back on the north coast of Viti Levu at Nanana I Ra for some lovely beach time and snorkelling the reefs for the day. The final nights offered a Pacific evening night with a gorgeous buffet and all passengers dressed to accompany the theme and topped off by a brilliant show from our crew.

Finally it is time to say good bye and after a tearful (and there were quite a few!) Isa Lei we said farewell to our new Reef Endeavour friends with promises to return. Some as soon as next week!!!

Vinaka and be safe

Northern Fiji Cultural Cruise - Day 2

Captain Reef Endeavour - Wednesday, June 08, 2011

We departed Tivua Island during the early hours of Wednesday morning and steamed to Nananu-i-ra, an island on the far northern coast of Viti Levu where the passengers enjoyed a relaxing time on the beach or went swimming, snorkeling and diving. Over lunchtime we steamed northward to Yadua Taba Island, off the south western coast of Vanua Levu where we hoped to see some wild Fijian Crested Iguanas. Yadua Taba is a sanctuary for the Fijian Crested Iguana of which there are some 13,000 on the island - the largest single population of any species of iguana anywhere in the world. Unfortunately they proved elusive this trip.
